To not let irrelevant people effect my life.

Learn from mistakes and not to trust so freely.

Finally believe someone can actually love me for me.

Also to let my guard down and love back without panicking about it.

Not really ! You get certain things when you are ready for them , they are massive mind-shift steps rather than gradual learning. I was open minded , I think that helped I’d done Buddhist and Hindi retreats , then someone just explained forgiveness how it frees you and I thought yep that makes a lot of semse I’ll have that thanks

Sometimes. I think it's a good trait to have, I just need to put myself first a bit more. Learn when to say no. I think I overcompensate because I've always been told I'm useless and selfish, so I try to do more for people to make up for it.

Often 'let's be friends' is a way of saying 'let's never see each other again.' More obnoxiously, the 'friend zone' is used to suggest that the 'friend' should reciprocate.

Just work through it, work on yourself & remember you're not entitled to anyone's feelings. Being 'just friends' with someone isn't a bad thing.
