Who refuses to pay a TV licence and how can you do it legally without a call from the rozzers?
I don't watch TV and don't use iPlayer or other on-demand apps.
It's like you only shop at Tesco's but Lidl want you to pay them too. |

It's not whether you watch the BBC but have the means to watch it. To really not pay it you would have to get rid of your TV, TV aerial, internet connection and mobile phone.
Out of curiosity why don't you want to pay for it? There are lots of things we pay for through tax even though we personnally might not use all the services. |

It's a few things. They claim they offer value for money but it's not value if you don't watch TV.
I don't owe them a living. |

You can legally cancel your TV licence.
If you don't watch the BBC then why pay £150 a year.
The option is available to cancel.
So the option should be available to subscribe. |

"I would like to do this, how? I hardly watch live tv anyway"
Go on the direct gov website and it will tell you to cancel your subscription.
Cancel your bank direct debit if you pay monthly.
Then be prepared for a visit from a Capita enforcement officer who try his hardest to tell you its the law that you must have a licence to watch live television.

On the website. I've not paid for well over 10 years...
The law says you need to be covered by a TV Licence to:
watch or record programmes as they’re being shown on TV, on any channel
watch or stream programmes live on an online TV service (such as ITV Hub, All 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now TV, Sky Go, etc.)
download or watch any BBC programmes on iPlayer.
This applies to any device you use, including a TV, desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, games console, digital box or DVD/VHS recorder. |

" As much as I agree with the OP above is the stark truth.. |

I have an 64in Samsung TV in my living room and both kids have them in their rooms, non are connected to freeview and the sky dish out the front hasn't been used for years.
I don't fall under the own BBC guidelines for needing a TV licence and now and then capita will spring a surprise visit and leave scratching their heads |
