Milton Keynes

So the young man next door clearly loves his video games and finds it appropriate to have the volume on full tilt during his gaming sessions.

When the periods of incessant noise pause for a few moments he likes to fill them by shouting or talking to his friends on line as loud as possible.

Inconveniently for me, this is normally the case from around 10pm -2pm

I’ve previously made a light hearted comment in passing and as a result he got some headphones, however they don’t do a great deal in muffling out the guys voice when he gets excited and it’s now kept me up four nights on the trot.

So, what are people’s thoughts on how to approach this?

Another polite conversation

Wake his entire household up next time

Rock through the window (joking)

Noise complaint to HSE

Call to police saying there’s a distance

Something’s gotta give...

Cheshire

I bought some great ear plugs on Amazon, I work a partial night shift (6pm - 2am) so I’m often asleep during busy times of the day.

At first they’re a bit weird to wear but you get used to them quickly. They’re cheap as well
