Ok so specifically things in people's profiles that make you cringe.
For us anyone who describes themselves as a "fun guy" is a massive cringy turn off.
If someone if genuinely fun it will come across in conversation, anyone who feels the need to tell the world they are fun is generally not. |

They're useless and mean nothing. Sometimes they post 1 about Facebook too - they are just as clueless for the relevance. I think most people are wanting to do the right things but get misled, seeing them on others.
Anything published in public is really available for everyone to see, once it's up. Almost nothing that can be done afterwards |

They do nothing apart from identify people who haven't read site FAQ...

Common sense advice would be NOT to put any information on your profile (here, or on any such site) that could identify you or that you don't want to become public! So for your own benefit, don't post phone numbers, real names or email / instant message addresses on your profile that people might see or "Google".
Some people may put non-identifying pics on their public profile but keep face pics private or for friends, for example." |

Pics that largely aren't the profile holder, often where he's less than 10% of a pic. I don't want to see a guys former partners and need to see the actual user to know if they may be fanciable to me. The worst pics for this are where he's hardly visible. Also from some of the guys but it does seem to be a theme that what couples and single women find cringy are different from single guys.
Seems many single guys find it cringy when people are requesting attributes they dont have, but couples and single are more likely to find single guys presentations of themselves cringy.
I definitely think this thread could help some guys out if they take note of the things that have been said here. |
