Keep your pubs

Right now all I want is to be curled up in the window seat of my fave coffee shop with a bottomless latte, headphones and a book. I miss that. And people watching too.

Oh no. The scones they make are heaven. Bacon and cheese mmm. Or white choc and red fruits. Still warm so butter melts all over. Messy but so worth it

My happy place. I'm not liking the fact that I walk past it a couple times a week, all in darkness and chairs stacked. So sad as its normally a busy bustling social environment of smiling faces and greetings.

It sounds perfect, and much nicer than a pub

I might get out my Klean Kanteen, make some coffee, and go sit in the park. Maybe. If it's not too peopley.

Peopley can be good but only the right people

Sure. At the moment I'm getting love from my phone, which isn't going to spread germs. My disease vector backside is at home.

Hopefully a good independent rather than the ghastly Starbucks or other chains?

Rather go the pub, and it's probably a similar price for a coffee or a pint

I prefer a coffee over a pint these day. I also think the atmosphere is more convivial than in pubs.

Just like you Op a decent coffee, music and the papers (on my phone or tablet obviously )

There's one I love that's a little antipodean inspired gem. I'm looking forward to returning to it when it's safer.

Definitely grew up with a Graeco-Italian derived café culture and love it.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

There are a few gorgeous cafes here that I miss like mad.

Luckily as I'm still not needing to go out I don't have to walk past them, it would depress me too

I really miss that. I spend a lot more time in coffee shops than in pubs and bars.
