Sometimes you just know an animal isn't going to survive |

Too late prob, but for future reference Caz was advised to put it in a shallow box, I used an upside down shoe box, with a small amount of water, jar lid.
They can tend to die of shock, but the one mine caught survived. If it survives take it to a vet, they have to treat them FOC by law. Mine was released back into the wild.
As has been mentioned it is illegal to kill them, even out of kindness, and can involve a £1000 fine. But then again how do they find out.
Sounds like Zac is ok?

Bloody hell - happened again....Smudge this time just as Shawshank started, comes in, past me like a grey streak with some squeaky thing in her gob....straight upstairs and under the bed - yep another fecking bat! Have managed to catch this one and it seemed unharmed so I've taken it down the backstreet to a grassy bit and left it - cats are now in for the night......dunno what it is about bats but they do give me the creeps (mind you I have a phobia about moths and butterflies so prob no wonder bats freak me out too) |
