Ooof you would have to spring this one on me. It's a bloody good question and which we have all wondered about..
Umm I think it would depend on the breed of the chickens and are we talking an African elephant or Indian? One has bigger ears than the other, the bigger ears could defend better against pecking.

Chicken pecks they elephants foot. Elephant falls over in panic and discovers due to his bad diet and appetite for cotton candy and burgers he has a heart condition. Elephant tragically dies.

Rolls Royce have a cannon at Derby that is used for firing chickens at jet engines. To test them for bird strike resilience. I would imagine one chicken from the cannon would be sufficient.
