I spent a week in a lovely little cottage in the countryside with a hot tub and lots of nice food and drinks, walks and baking amazing cakes and scones. A wonderful friend sent me a cheese hamper, another a book signed by my favourite author. It was really lovely because it was a chance to relax and do things that I really enjoy. And have hot tub sex. |

40th Mr N and I went away for the weekend. 50th I honestly can't remember, 60th we went out for a meal. We've actually celebrated the on between birthdays more lol. Mostly because it depended on funds at the time.
70 is the next one. |

When I was 30 I went out with friends for a meal then on to a nightclub.
At 40 we had a big house party into the next morning and had champagne at 6am.
At 50 I held a party in a transgender club and the turnout was amazing.
Variety is the spice of life |

Mine is on Sunday, having a few friends round in the garden for a Chinese tomorrow night, it was my big birthday last year (40) but didn't have the set of friends we have now so will be good to have a drink.

It was my 30th last year. Went to Sheffield a few days before my birthday with my mum and stepdad to go to a Harry Potter improv comedy night that was hilarious and went out for lunch, then did a bit of shopping the next day. My stepdad took me through to Whitby on the day itself so he could buy me my birthday presents.
If I can get away with it this year, what I would love to do is go to York with my bestie and her little girl, do some serious shopping and get some lunch, book a hotel and have my fab friend come across in the evening, and hopefully, as they now live on a narrow boat full time, hopefully my parents could be in York then too. |

I was 50 last year. My mam died on my 38th birthday and I've never celebrated it since but last year my inlaws paid for us to stay with them in Benidorm for the big 50. Have to say it was the best birthday in a very very long time |

For my 40th, I’d got wind of 2 ‘surprise’ parties planned for me. Couple of close friends tipped me off knowing how uncomfortable I would be.
So I booked a long weekend to Norway, managed to find a race to run on the day and did some sightseeing as well as decent beers and food . Totally satisfying |

Little surprise dinner party in a local restaurant for my 50th. Last time I celebrated a birthday before that I was a student on my 21st. For that I had a house party in the digs I was renting. I don’t celebrate birthdays usually, I prefer peace and quiet. |

18th - big party.
21st - 100 people at ours for a barbecue. People were to arrive at 3pm. At 3:10 the heavens opened.
30th - me and 20 male work colleagues out for a night in London.
40th - quiet meal as it was just before my dad passed away.
50th - who knows what I will do. It would be good to think that the world will have returned to some sense of normality by then.
Whatever you get to do and whomever you spend it with I hope it is your best birthday yet. |

My 30th was a year of ups and downs. I celebrated with a girly trip to Dundee where my friend was from......much needed drinking, dancing, laughing and flirting.
My 40th was organised by my sister by numerous surprises over 4 days consisting of (for each day I would receive an envelope in the morning with hints of what was in store)
Day 1 spa trip, fine dinning lunch and a family meal in the evening.
Day 2 day out at golf driving range, then pub followed by bowling and a meal out
Day 3&4 trip to liverpool stayed in the yellow submarine boat lots of food
Day 4 a shopping spree all paid for by sis and brother in law.
I am currently in the middle of organising my sisters 50th which was supposed to be a hot tub country getaway for about 16 girls but having to scale back so still searching alternatives |

Always with my mum as it’s also one of her big birthdays, born the same day 20 years apart, so the focus is normally on mum and what she wants to do. I then just go to the pub with mates a week later |

I've not a clue what I did on my 50th. Probably a meal with the parents.
I remember my 49th, though, as I was at a rock concert at Borderline in Soho.
I don't really bother with my birthday, though. |

My 30th coincided with a solar eclipse, so I was up a mountain being spiritual. Then later everything went downhill - drinking and dancing til the wee hours.
My 40th was spent in a luxury hotel with extended family.
My 50th was spent in a hotel too - with champagne and strawberries and a fab friend |
