Someone I work with was saying how her daughter was on the large side and said to me - yes she’s like you ! Ffs thanks for that I know I’m fat I don’t need it pointing out  |

Fat jokes are not acceptable and can be very cruel I'm a big guy and always have been and was bullied in school about it I'm not so concerned now as I used to be but still have hang ups over it. Anyway I happen to like curves on a woman |

Been called fat all my life... honestly there is probably some deep issues for it but on the surface I’ve never cared. Lost a shit load of weight so far but that’s nothing to do with that. That’s for me. I do nothing for the ones who have to project their issues onto other people. |

Insulting someone to do with their weight is the last of the socially acceptable bullying it seems.
Because if someone gets upset you can pass it off as a "health" thing.
It stings. I still remember the first time I was criticised for my weight. I was 8 and it was my mother's friend. And it's never gone away. I remember that the same as I remember every time my ex called me fat, ugly and stupid.
So now I say to hell with it. On the outside if not deep down. |

I'd hope that a tiny few could see past that but I like real women...

Body shaming goes right on across the board here and i see it crop up a lot when its a "do you prefer x or y body type" Ive seen woman being as derogatory about mens bodies far more than i see men doing it and then you have all the stereotyping coming into play. slim women are up their own arses, men who go to the gym are narcissists, i prefer "real bodies" than a bag of bones and so on and so forth. ridiculous carry on out of adults |
