I am absolutely thrilled and feel fantastic. It’s been slow and steady. That way I aim to keep it off this time.

Diets really don’t work for me.

Cutting things out, eating stuff I just don’t like - I end up resenting it and really have terrible will power.

A friend similar to me has had amazing success with the 2:5 diet and has moved onto the 3:4 diet with ease, so I’m going to give it a whirl and see how I do.

Fingers crossed, I’ve got about 5 stone to shed!

Honestly my diet is really varied. A nephew who stayed with me for a while, commented that he didn’t realise healthy food could be so tasty. It’s not a diet for me as such. Just a realisation that I have an issue with food and I am prone to overeat. So I have to be prepared and fill up on other stuff.

I have family who lost weight with the diets you mentioned though.

Don’t get me wrong, Niki does slimming world and really enjoys it, and enjoys the diet - she also loves making all the recipes, and has done really well on it.

I just enjoy my bad food far too much to give them up! Lol

I think it’s all about mentality for people isn’t it? And for me I can diet, without actually giving anything up (if that makes sense?) and then I won’t resent it and ultimately fail.

Well, that’s the hope anyway

Not on slimming world but definately trying to lose weight while Mrs is pregnant.

I'm doing p90x again as it got us both in great shape for our wedding.

Finding it tricky this time around though, I had elbow surgery a few years back and it's giving problems during push ups.

I tried that book and I wasn't impressed for some reason, hairy dieter books are pretty good, men's health website have good recipes and there's a few Joe wicks that are nice too

Well week one I lost 5.5lbs...

Week two, maintain.

Can't work out if it's the one day of 'ah fuck it' or the being back to 6/7 days of walking/running/weights.

The first week is always good. I tend to drop about half a stone of water, one or two pounds per day. Then it slows down. Don't be disheartened. It's pretty standard.

If your scales measure lean weight / body fat %, that's probably more helpful. If you're losing body fat but gaining muscle, it's totally reasonable that your weight will plateau or even increase. You're still going the right way

Kudos to you.

Fantastic achievement.

Be exceptionally proud yourself, as I'm sure it wasn't a smooth road.

Well done!

The slimming world ones done. The ones my PT/Gym has they do.

I make a conscious effort to up my water intake to combat it being just losing water.

It was a major fuck it day....
