Love them or hate them they do seem to take over our lives. Those of you that dislike cats may want to leave now, cat slaves read on...

I am acquainted with a 'feral beast' who lives where I have a storage unit. It started out with him / her sitting about 12 - 15 feet away every time I visited.

It's getting braver, coming closer on every visit. Now I realise its probably due to me bribing it with dreamies and dry food in small quantities but I feel I have made progress.

Tonight it came indoors out of the drizzle and sat on my lap, accepted my food offerings then settled down and started purring. It only stayed for about ten minutes before it got down and after having a good mooch about trotted back to the door where it sat watching the rain until I was ready to leave.

My clothes are covered in muddy little footprints but i'm quite a happy cat slave right now.

I hope you lot dont mind but not really got anyone else to tell right now.

I'll post a pic once I get them off my phone. I think its a girl but to be honest I don't want to attempt to sex a feral cat

My cat wandered into work one day feeling all sorry for himself. Skinny, matted and falling out fur, fleas, worms and starving. 4 years later he is a dickhead but I love him more than almost all humans I know. X

I love befriending strange cats. Haven't had a cat since mine passed away years ago. The company of cats is a great thing.

I too have feline history going back to the late 80's. My current accomodation is not feline friendly yet however i'm working on it.

@_naswingdress - photo awaiting approval

@indigosunshine - Awww they know when they are safe and loved.

@monsieurbabette - it is indeed, they choose to be with us.

@_parkle1974 - I feel for you especially after 18 years.

Ah

Apparently pet photo's are not allowed.

I respect that and understand however it makes me sad. I do have a photo of my muddy trousers with the cat in the background however that could be construed as taking the p*ss so I won't.

Maybe when I get to know more of you a bit better I can link my external gallery somehow.
