So you open a bottle of wine, and the first glass doesn't really ying your yang.
Do you continue with the bottle, maybe pulling a bit of a face but persevering anyway?
Or abandon said wine and move on to the cooking sherry ?

Depends was it a red? Or just simply corked? Leave the bottle open for 5-10 minutes to oxidize, should then taste a lot better unless it's a cheap bottle and you got what you paid for |

I wouldn't drink warm beer, so I'm not going to drink shit wine. But cooking with wine or sherry is absolutely the dogs bollocks. (Sherry after all is fortified wine).
Its against my religion to waste alcohol. |
