Just watched a perspective take on karate kid. I now need to watch again.
Alternative Perspective given Daniel is the bully and not Johnny...having watched the clip and yes I know it’s edited for the sake of perspective, it’s interesting how we can be swayed in certain things.
What films media or literature has altered the way you view things?
Or Challenged your beliefs?
One book that massively altered my perception on relationships was mating in captivity....

The book 'The Land Where Lemons Grow: The Story of Italy and its Citrus Fruit' completely changed my perspective on this seemingly everyday fruit type.
Did you know that there are only three types of citrus fruit? All the rest are hybrids. Even lemons (cross between citron and sour orange).
An endlessly fascinating read. |

Poor old Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.
Worked hard his entire life to build up a successful business, his money and assets.
Only to be bullied and portrayed as a cruel and nasty capitalist by Dickens and his three liberal Ghosts of Christmas.

How did they make it seem Daniel was the bully?
There was a brilliant advert years ago giving different perspectives of a scene. Punk running at man in suit - it appeared he was going to mug him. He was actually pushing him out of the way of falling bricks. |

I remember seeing that in the cinema
Have a look on YouTube you can find it there, it really does change your perspective on the film. Also they made a series in which Daniel is rich and successful but his previous nemesis (forgot his name) is trying to get his life back together. I only saw two episodes but they were great |

Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Indy is literally pointless. He has zero bearing on the film other than making it last longer. Had he just left them to it they’d have ended the exact same way.
Still a great film |

Confessions of an Economic Hitman, The Creature from Jekyll Island and Web of debt. These three books completely upended my faith in western economic and banking principles; exposing them for what they are. A rigged screw job for 99% and an endless ponzi scheme. |

"Anyone ever seen Run Lola Run? A great film from different perspectives...
Absolutely, fantastic film another one I intend to revisit again soon. An iconic look for the lead actress "
Franka Potente; directed by Tom Tykwer. German film with subs.
Memento is another film to mess with perspective - early Christopher Nolan starring Guy Pierce. |

Big fan of Director Darren Aronofsky, the Fountain diddbt get great mainstream reviews but it’s a great film.
If you like it, check out also , Another Earth.
Similar kind of mix of indie, romance and sci-fi |

American history x had a very profound effect on me as an angry teenager.
I’d already started to doubt most of the views I’d had drilled into me and this film really helped to back my own views up and give me the confidence to break away from the path my life was taking. |

Find Aronofsky films a bit marmite. Absolutely loved Pi and Requiem for a Dream (with a killer soundtrack by Clint Mansell of Pop Will Eat Itself fame and the Kronos Quartet).
Liked The Wrestler and Black Swan but not keen on his others.
But at least he is always interesting and you never know what you're going to get from him. |
