We live in flats and we barely come into contact with anybody. We only really hear the family a couple of flats below because they have a littl'un who make noise. The neighbours between them and us moved out because they hate noise from children! In fact they hated noise from anywhere. They even complained when people came out onto their balconies to applaud the NHS. ![](/icons/s/rolleyes.gif) |

I have lovely neighbours but their son and daughter have been having a few get togethers in the evenings and a few nights ago had their music on quite loud into the early hours.
The next day their dad said he'd had an anonymous note from a 'neighbour' to complain about the noise.
And this morning the son and daughter have put a note through the door apologising for the noise.
The son is having another party tonight as it's his 21st.
Intrigued to know who complained. It was loud but not riotous. |

"My neighbours are having a bbq. I smell burgers and sausages. Filth food - yummy! Noisy buggers are on the booze too.
What are your neighbours like? "

My neighbours are very different from each other.
On the left we have a couple who are slightly younger than us and share some of our interests but have grown quite boring in their older years. Very nice though.
On the right they are older and rarely leave the house. We don’t have much to do with them but when our paths do cross they always talk pleasantly and seem very nice.
God knows what they must think of us... I reckon we keep most of our village in gossip constantly.

My neighbour was my best friend before I moved in next door.
The 2 houses are connected as i live in sort of an annexe.
We live separate lives but there's an element of communal living that I love. |

One side is a family. Only actually met her but seen the family.
Other side drive me mad. They are on furlough and play music till the early hours. Argue all day. Smoke on their doorstep so I can't have my front windows open. |

I have elderly ish ladies both sides. One a dream but will talk you to death if you make eye contact. The other never talks unless she really really has too but does have a tendency towards drilling and hammering in the middle of the night. ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

On one side I have a couple in their 70s, both really lovely and excellent neighbours. On the other side is a spinster in her 60s who lives with her very spoiled cat, rarely see her very much but her cat uses my front garden as a toilet
