...in 7 months! The last upper body gym session I had was back in December before I had my shoulder operation. Felt good to be lifting again but jeezo, what a difference in strength.....or lack of!

Hopefully get back on the bag and pass soon enough and praying for muscle memory to kick in sharpish!

Why’s a gym?

In all seriousness I need someone to get me in shape.

If there's video footage of this gym session you should probably share....

I’m missing the gym too

Quite depressing since I really can’t motivate myself to do any home stuff.

How about me helping you work the upper body and you can help with my lower body Bants

I am both dreading it and really looking forward to it.

Got kettlebells at the very start of C19 so I havent been too bad at home. Still, not the same as gym.

My gym is undergoing a huge revamp & wont be open until Sep/Oct time. Thinking about joining another gym in meantime.

All I've done is some cycling and loads of walking but it's not the same as proper weights sessions.

Time to shred the flab and bulk my arms back up!

I have taken up loads more cardio, esp cycling. Still ran before lockdown. Did about 30mins cardio in gym bout 4 times a week. Doing about 3 times that now!

Miss the heavy weights something terrible though.

Not been to a gym since 1989. I prefer to run in the fresh air.

I'm desperate to get back to the gym. Even more than to get my nails done. If i dont soon I'm gonna loose all the progress I've made improving the flexibility of my messed up spine. There's really only so much can be done at home.

And i also really need to beat crap out of that damn bag

Any advice on doing this? I'm so flexible in other areas but my spine is stiff as a board! I've been working on the camel yoga pose which has helped somewhat.

Not sure my excercises would help. I've 3 fused vertebra so go on what I've been advised will help me. I wouldn't want to risk your spine on moves that have not been planned for you. Yoga is good as is swimming. Maybe ask a PT for advice as they'll be way more qualified than me xxx

Yeah I've heard a couple of weeks and they will be back up and running with the social distancing measures in place and limited machines and weights..

Worst of the soreness and stiffness will be done with in 10 days or.

Strength will come back pretty quick, muscle memory is fantastic thing.

4 weeks back and I'm already back with 5-7% of my max lifts after losing around 20-22% off all of them because of no gym and the lockdown

I was at the gym 10 times a week before lockdown. It was a university gym and they have every facility imaginable so I was using the climbing wall, playing squash, badminton, swimming, 3 different classes and also gym work....my body was at its peak! I could crack walnuts with my arse!

I’ve been doing insanity and kettlebell work outs at home but they aren’t the same intensity as the gym.

I doubt my job is going back to the office for the time being though so I’ll have to stick to the home workouts

You'll be surprised how quick your strength and fitness comes back.

I've gone back to fitness with a PT after having a few months off due to injury, and I am pleased how my fitness levels are coming back.

Yeah I’ll be back at it from Tuesday as my gym has an outdoors variant. I can’t wait to get back, rebuild the muscle whilst still running. I won’t get back to my 1RM that I was at as I’ve a different aim but I’ll be back to building and cutting in no time. Not looking forward to the DOMS that this will bring over the first week or so

I was doing quite well with exercising in the garden, but since the weather turned shit again, I’ve done fuck all. Hopefully weather will improve next week and I can get back at it.
