They go and put LOL at the fucking end 
"he threw me down the stairs and broke my arm....... LOL" WTF
"I was an emotional wreck when she left me for him..... LOL"

But seriously, I'm reading a serious post and they put lol on the end, so I'm thinking was it a lie? Did it really happen, it wasn't that bad if they put lol on the end, and changed the mood of the post with just those 3 letters |

Sometimes if I'm talking about something upsetting or very serious, I will sometimes laugh or add a bit of humour to it. I don't know why I do it but it helps me to deal with it a little better. So maybe some people use lol like that? |

Yeah kinda. And sometimes it's just because what you're talking about is so deep and you don't want to ruin the mood for everyone. My dad is dead and I'm always talking about him and making really bad jokes  but I genuinely do love and miss him but I think some people misread it sometimes because they don't understand my humour or my coping mechanisms.
It's difficult really as I think we all use it in our own way! |
