"I will not be going the pub Saturday. I think it's too soon.
Will you ? "
will be too many idiots out for me, I will wait until it settles back into a new routine. If what they are hinting is true you will be too busy downloading apps to get a drink. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
Sadly pubs are, as we all know, dying. It takes a special one, or a cheap one, to have been doing well up until they were closed all those months ago.
And opening them now with all the restrictions and people saying they're not going to go because of the risk, and because of the hassle etc is just going to kill them off quicker.
But landlords can't afford to stay closed if the government says they can open. So they've suddenly now been thrown out to dry and have got to do all they can to stay safe and keep their staff safe and try and make ends meet.
It's a crappy situation, with no winners. And whether it goes right or wrong, half the world will be able to say "I told you so" |

"Not the pub, but I may go out for a coffee though. Try and find a seat outdoors and wear a mask, drinking the coffee will be difficult, whilst masked but I’m sure I’ll figure a way around it "
Soak the mask in yr coffee, put back on, cooled down first, not to forget H&S.. breath normally ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Oh I agree it's crap.
All I have the power to change, though, is my health risk to others or myself. At least at the moment. |

Not me. The whole purpose is the atmosphere and the ‘craic’ as the Irish call it.
Also, imagine sitting quietly in the corner minding your own business with a pint, someone else in the pub later tests positive and you then have to self isolate for 14 days. |

Exactly right. Hope you're doing as well as you can be and keeping your spirits up (not in a pub way) |

No interest until the day I can stand at the bar again and be surrounded by conversation.
I can happily sit at a table with a beer in my garden with friends |

"I really don't understand how desperate people are for the pub.....
I think it's more the social aspect, not getting d*unk. It represents normality to some "
Yeah, familiar comforts are great when you're anxious. |

Be going I’m probs going to walk there and back for a bit of excercise. If I have to queue I maybe won’t bother but definitely worth getting out and hope for the chance to see some different scenery and faces. If it was due to be sunny today I may not have bothered and just enjoyed the sun in my garden. |

"I might nip out for a paper the same time the match is on !!!
Don't think anyone is allowed to show football. I might be wrong though." I know Wetherspoons are showing nothing. Pubs have been asked not to provide and entertainment that may see people jump shout scream so I think a few pubs have opted not to show football or to at least not advertise that they are. Some pubs are evening not having their music / juke box on and no pool. Going to be a very sterile environment for few weeks. |

Couldn't care less about the pub. Have missed meals out though. However, think we will leave it a few weeks just to be sure (hubby classed as high risk, so need to be certain).
Looking forward to getting back to our favourite nepalese restaurant |
