I love old fashioned names. Wish more of them were loved again. If you ever have a chance to walk through old cemetery.. there are so many beautiful and forgotten names. |

My grandma's name. I want to name any future female children after my grandparents but that feels a bit too old fashioned!"
I gave my son my mums surname as a middle name, as she was the last person in her family line..its good to pass things like names on ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Yeah, I'd love to do that as I'm the last person in my family with the original surname who might have kids but my surname would be an odd middle name.
I'd use Clara as a first name though, that was what both of my great grandmas on my mum's side were called ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I like it as it's a bit uncommon but not so much that's it's weird. My name is quite uncommon too. |

Oooh that's pretty, how is it pronounced phonetically?
I'd like to use my mum's first name is a middle name but she hates her name but there's other variations of it. |

Floral names never seem to go out of fashion. One of my friends names her daughter Peony |

Joan has gone out of fashion here too but most keep it in families by using the variants of Hannah, Joanne or Siobhan. |

His mum was shouting his name at him to come back and he just looked at her with contempt. |
