I've got one poorly pooch 
Seems she's eaten something which has developed into collitus so off to get lots of fresh bland food for the poor princess
Any dog owners got any tips or ideas what to give her other than chicken? X |

Most pet shops sell a diet called BARF. It's a frozen diet, pure meat, including some small bits of bone etc. Really good for dogs with sensitive stomachs, as long as you don't buy the rich stuff like the beef. Works out cheaper then buying chicken from the butchers too. |

Have tried my dog on the frozen stuff too - it's good !
Also, I had that 'chump meat roll' recommended to me when I had a greyhound - they have notoriously gippy tummies.
It did the trick with her, never had any problems.
You can get that for 50/60 p a roll from home bargains |

Have given her pasta which she loves, she's looking for the tuna in it that she normally gets with it though 
Will have a look at them chump things, if theyre easy to cut up that is cos theyre bigger than her whole head them things.

They're very easy to cut up
Infact the consistency is a bit bleurgh and they do stink
Just get 1 and see how you get on - I've got a staff and 1 does 2 meals for him with a bit of dry mixed in

Thanks to those proper dog lovers (growls at hornypoliceman grrrr). She is fine in herself, same playful puppy even though she's nearly 10
And ramsfan, its not her being bunged up that is the problem, I need to put my little one's old nappies on her she's that bad, so my pockets are full of tissues and poo bags and a bottle of water to rinse the remains away.
I look great dry heaving trying to pick her mess up in the rain.

Thabk you. She is normally a Ceasers dog, but think she may have enjoyed waffles, spaghetti and who knows what else from my toddler!
She's getting on a bit and is epileptic and allergic to bread so have to be careful what she eats so will look at the barf stuff even though the name makes me wanna gag a bit x |

tbh the best thing to do is to starve them for 24hrs they say its always good to keep a dog slightly hungry a lot of people that feed a Raw Feed will have a fasting day maybe once a month dogs do that in the wild naturaly anyway I get all my food delivered from Natures Menu which is Chicken wings Tripe Beef Hearts Fish Chicken chunks etc if you want any of the links to a good raw suplier drop me a mail and Ill let you know also type in BARF into Google and you will get loads of advice on it |

Scrambled egg is sometimes recommended. White fish can be good too. Along with boiled rice.
I had a cat with digestive issues and it's the same diet for them both. I used to go to the cheapy freezer shops and buy bags of cooked chicken fillets and white fish (that was uncooked and I'd defrost then zap in the microwave to reduce the fishy smell in the house).
My friends dog has had a sensitive stomach since he was very ill as a little puppy and she feeds him on tripe. Not the tinned stuff, the unbleached frozen stuff from pet food suppliers. It really stinks, but it's cheap and he loves it and he has the most beautiful sheen on his coat. |

lol BARF means Biologicaly Adjusted Raw Feeding a good book to get on it is by Dr Ian Billinghurst an Austalian vet who started the BARF diet |

Im soooo not the right person to have a dog with tummy troubles!
I always thought tripe was fish til recently  and as for trying to starve her I may run away for a few days and leave her to see how they get on trying that!
She may be blonde but she's not daft when it comes to food. She's on steroids and other meds for her epilepsy so has to eat, she always manages to eat round the tablets in her food though. Blooming pets! Who'd have them lol x |

. Oooo another reason to try the BARF stuff, gonna have to lool now as she developed a skin condition when I had my baby, always been diagnosed as pshychocematic (spelling?) But will have to research now! Thank you so much x |

Most dogs that are fed on a manufactured crappy kibble diet develop all sorts of skin probs etc look at Honey's Real Dog Food they are a good supplier of raw feed and they are a really great bunch of people and also type in Natures Menu into google you can buy Natures menu at Pets at Home take a look in the freezer section |

Pets at Home will try to convince you that their dry kibble is the best thing ever in the whole world, and not to use the frozen stuff, or if you really must, then mix it with their dry kibble!
In some ways it is a good food, but not for what you want. And it is cheaper through Natures Diet direct, or the other site above. But Pets at Home is handy if you run out, and need some quick. |

Collitis .. is that diahorhea ? and or sickness .
We normally recommend 24 hours starving then a bland diet of chicken and rice. we sell a food called I/D which is bland .
Leave down plenty of fresh water ..but not very cold .if it continues after monday go to vet. |

Hiya all, thanks for all the advice.
I gave the princess lots of love, chicken and pasta, rice and fish and she has picked up as she was given tablets by the vet as well.
Thanks everyone, she's getting on a bit now so cant help but worry about my baby.
