Argument going on in the office about the best James Bond, we are very divided on Craig... personally I think he is wank... too ugly and charmless to be Bond, the girls like his trunks!

My preference from best to worst are

Connery

Brosnan

Lazenby

Moore

Niven

Bob Holness

Dalton

Craig

Sean Connery was right for a spy of the sixties but Daniel Craig is far more believable for the present day.

Sean Connery was the best and definately the sexiest Bond.

Even at his ripe old age I sooo still would

Its gotta be the one and only David Niven’s as Sir James Bond

The rest are all lame-ducks compared to his genial portrayal of 007…

Daniel Craig plays it the closest to Ian Fleming's original character i.e. a misogynistic, latant homosexual, mentally ill killer, bordering on psychopathic.

But I prefer Sean Connery.

Go to be Tomothy Dalton. Shame he only made the two films. Apparantly he did not want to be type cast as that sort of character. No chance, he is far more versatile an actor than just that.

Agree with all that! However, surprised hoe little Dalton comes up in conversation. He only did two but at the time his interpretation of Bond was a breath of fresh air after the latter Moore nonsense! Given time I think he would have made the role his own.

Moore was more like a spoof-spy, he was too 'Groucho Bros' for me. Connery is too ... Scottish, Niven too dapper, Lazenby too AMERICAN ffs, Craig is too fookin miserable (you'd think he'd be as happy as a Hindu Cow with all the top totty he gets to shag).

No, the best Bond is Brosnan, sauve, sophisteeec.. that thing.. good looking (I'd shag him), and with a hint of ruthlessness. Perfick.

Too bland and dull. Takes himself too seriously, but still not as bad as Craig

I was quite surprised when I saw Daniel Craig in a James Bond film...the whole film had a darker edge to it..and so did Bond, almost psychopathic...very cold.

Good though!

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

James Bond bought me a pint! Timothy Dalton is from Belper, Derbyshire about 3 miles from my old house.

Was in the pub one Sunday afternoon when 007 & Tosh Lines (the late Kevin Lloyd from The Bill) came in and put some money down on the pool table.

Let's say they weren't brill and a pint a corner playing doubles cost him dearly.

I'm not a fan of the James Bond films, I watched Craig however and really enjoyed the ones he did ....but, even as a non-Bond fan I can see they didn't really 'feel' like Bond films

...which is probably why I liked them
