Can i just thank every single person for your kind and wonderful messages. New chapter in my life to look forward too, (once covid jogs on) It was strange and wonderful staring at her picture, a face i would be too young to rem_mber, but a face that somehow seemed familiar, thanks again everyone, im going to have a glass of wine. |

So just a wee update, after my letter i sent one back shortly after. I had nothing back for a very long time, and obviously i began to think the worst, So back in March i sent another letter (These go through the Adoption society) and I waited and waited. And this week thank god, i got a reply, shes still with us at 83,.I also have found out i have to older sisters. So last night i sent off another letter, and i have obviously escalated things and asked for a meet, so we will wait and see we're it goes. |

Excellent news OP. I’ve recently took in my sons gf who was fostered, since she’s been away from her oppressive foster parents she’s managed to establish a relationship with her birth mum and siblings |

I the male half was adopted, and thought long and hard about tracing my real parents, not that i dont think of my adoptive parents not my real parent, but you know what i mean, but decided it would cause to much heat ache for all involved, i had a great childhood, my real parents werent married, it seems i was a result of a fling, soo i decided to be greatful for what i have, sadly my adoptive dad recently died, i was crying like a baby at the funeral, he was my dad |
