I am just spinning this further as we have threads on dangerous and worst jobs...

What makes a job, maybe YOUR job... pleasureable?

For me working with a team of awesome professional people is one great benefit of mine.

Angus & Findhorn

when I worked full time for a company I loved everyday and still have amazing respect for the people who worked for me.

now I do contract work and can choose what I do and when I do it. Just completed a project on 31/5 deadline and now is time to chill for the summer.

I love the freedom.

Definitely when my partner and I had our own business. Picking and choosing the jobs we wanted to do and working together on them.

I'm not sure if I prefer playing with lasers, or the travel I get with my job. Both are great perks

Knowing i'm making a difference in someone's life. When someone says thank you for everything you have done for them.

The best part about my job is that I know I am doing something worthwhile and am helping people in need and I feel a sense of pride and achievement.

I know I've trained and gained qualifications and worked hard for it, but I still feel honoured to be doing it and feel a great sense of duty

Both my jobs are a grind and pay crap - I'd leave in a heartbeat if something better came along. But we gotta do what we gotta do when there are bills to pay.

Bah humbug!

My job has changed over the years...and not for the better. They used to send me all over the country taking witness statements. As most of the complaints were against the MoD I'd get to go on naval, air and army bases. Oh the fantasies I had. Nowadays they come to me.

I love my job, I worked hard for it. I have a great team that supports me and male colleagues that don't let me get away with anything, somehow they're immune from my charms.

That said, if I'd remained married I wouldn't have had a mortgage, it would have been paid off and I'd have stopped work and enjoy being a lady of leisure.
