After hearing about this app I have finally downloaded it....
what the hell has been happening during this lockdown?? What’s with all the voiceovers and twerking?? Is everyone desperate for likes and followers these days. Don’t get me wrong, there are some very funny and entertaining videos but I’m definitely out of my depth and probably age.
Why do people like this as opposed to you tube??
Is it more geared to the socially media savvy??
Anyone know how to get the most out of this app?

Videos only last 30 seconds at all.
People are bored.
Some can be quite educational.
Some can be a laugh.
I don’t have the app, but I’ve seen a few of the educational ones on twitter. |

I love TikTok! It's absolutely terrible at first but the more the app gets to know what you like the more enjoyable it is! I spend a good hour each day scrolling through it. |

Some are very good but I keep getting lots of young women shaking their maracas in my feed. Obviously it knows I am a single man but crikey I do feel like a dad perv  |

They are strict rules my daughter had a couple deleted for violating some rule,but heaven knows why. I think in one she had a bikini top and shorts on other than that I don't know why it went as she was just doing cartwheels and stuff in the garden. |

Lol you did kind of... although I’m not sure what kind of strict rules they have... some of the videos are very suggestive and wouldn’t want my son watching them (to be fair he is only 10 and more into mine craft, Pokemon and my little pony so he wouldn’t be interested) |

How is it different? You watch 10, 20, 30 second videos of people being dickheads, the same as Snapchat. I mean you can do the same thing on an instagram story, or even facefuck live, or even whatsapp.

It’s not really like some of the other apps listed, if anything it’s closer to Vine or Instagram as you see popular and trending content, not just your friends. I think it’s a really fun app for those that appreciate creativity and some of them are actually very talented!  a wide variety of content too, not just dancing - a lot of comedians use it as a platform too  |

Maybe I should persevere although I have insta, have never posted a lot myself... I did think I could do one of those sexy chair dances (fabulous legs and hair) On tik tok then turn round to reveal it’s me... but then thought that’s a bit lame  |
