I was reading this morning an old article about: "12 habits that can make you seem instantly less attractive, according to science". I am not sure if I am allowed to post a link, so if you are interested, just copy title into your search engine.
When it comes to fab meet ups/dating/whatever you chose to call it, what personality traits or behaviours you find off putting?
* * *
Dont crucify me, if I dont reply to all the comments on this occasion. Let's just share some thoughts. |

"When the lady you meet spends more time looking at her phone than talking to you. That's a frustrating one!"
Happened only once to me. Maybe because he was younger.. maybe it's a generation thing too?
It's awful though. I agree. |

The inability to explore their opinions and ideals...otherwise known as willing to accept they're potentially wrong!
Oh and I'm sure there's many others, but being rude and dismissive. |

I can be stubborn hearted about my opinions. It's a hard work to challenge yourself. |

When they speak badly about other people when you’re on a date. If someone starts moaning about an ex, I instantly lose interest and make an excuse to leave. |

Not being able to control their alcohol, can’t stand meets that you end up looking after grown adults. No drama and fun times is all we want.
Another is a couple that bicker in front of you it’s so awkward and unattractive. |

1.) Pushing politics on me at an early stage from any angle (left, right, up or down).... Politics to me is fluid and interchangeable and I never take sides. Tribal shit bores me silly and makes me think "is this person gonna be this unimaginative and uncreative at sex too...?"
2.) Also any focus on money and financials. It's none of your business, how rude....! Makes my cock all floppy.... |

Had that happen. Really is an off put. Got asked if I'd like to see her video of sucking another chap off. Really? At a first meet. |

Vagueness is my bugbear on this .
When the are not giving off any clear signals either in conversation or body language. It is too easily interpreted as they are just tolerating your presence as there are no better alternatives available. |

"An energy sapping personality.
This would be on my list.
Energy vampires I call them...
"
Very apt term. Shame they're not allergic to daylight like respectable vampires. |

Not having a sense of humour
Being negative / pessimistic
Fakeness
Lack of self-confidence
Bad table manners / etiquette
Lack of manners
Not having some degree of chivalry
Not being able to hold a conversation
Looking at their phone
Being too loud or overbearing
Being puerile
I'll stop there because I'm beginning to sound like a bit of a diva |

"Accents.
Please elaborate?"
I can't understand people who have really strong accents. It's my fault not theirs. It kills the mood if I'm constantly asking "what did you say?" |

To be fair that happened to me once with a guy with a seriously strong Glaswegian accent. Gave up asking “sorry what?” By the end. I really tried listening but lordy lord could not make out what he said at all! Total mood killer |

When you pass a window or mirror and they talk to themselves in it instead if making eye contact with you. It's fine to check your hair or whatnot but if you're talking to me, fucking talk TO me.
When you're looking in the mirror mate, you're trying to convince yourself you're all that and more, not me. |

Possibly but makes flirting bloody challenging especially as I'm not actually that good at it in the first place |

It's like the equivalent of one line messages here
I'm sure it's not the case. Its just a matter of the person waking up these skills in us by turning on attraction button. |

More interest in themselves and the specific acts they must have, rather than mine - selfishness, in essence.
Insensitive pushiness to meet - an extension of their selfishness, sometimes coupled with an aggressive tone.
Inflexibility - often comes with selfishness.
Disconnected - not engaged or engaging.
Disrespectful |

Inflexible is an interesting call. I recall someone booking a hotel after having a vague convo about possibly meeting on a certain day. Announcing what time I should make there and how long at least we should spend together. Yeah well.. that didnt happen. |
