Potatoes are one of the best things that are not quite vegetables or fruit. They are very versatile, they are jack(ets) of all trades. When making mash potato, I tend to use potatoes, to make the perfect mash always boil the spuds in water. Potato’s are used to make crisps, potato wedgies, jacket potato’s, salad potato’s, new potato’s and roast potato’s. To make the perfect roast potatoes, ask your gran to make them. There are many types of potato, Maris piper and king Edwards to name a few. Potato’s can be used to paint with, admittedly they do a shit job of painting your kitchen.
Famous potato’s include Mr Potatohead and his wife, to name but two. Potato’s were first discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1971. No meal is complete without a potato of some sort, potato’s are that good even vegans eat them. So all hail the humble potato.

Christopher Columbus' middle name was Albert and he was known to his friends as Bertie.
Potatoes were initially known as Bertatoes after their discoverer. |
