No they should stay separate. If parents are still together then the other parent helps children I’m making a fuss and if parents are separated the children get to spend the day with them |

No I don't think it should
What if one of those parents was less of a mother or father or had any input into its child's upbringing.. i wouldn't want to celebrate them
