Why One-liners?

It seems that the majority of messages I get are simply "you alright" or "hi", standard stuff, you get the jist.

I try pressing them to be more interesting, but it's a bit of a struggle.

Any solutions for attracting more engaging messages?

You will find there are a few people on this site who struggle to compose a full sentence. I usually just delete those messages as they don't engage me one bit.

You will get there, juat takes time x

I think it's about perseverance really. You will find someone who chats more. Just keep at it

I'm not being incredulous but you seriously get messages like that, out of the blue?

There and to the left a bit

You know how in your normal day to day life there are some people that you just say hello to, but nothing more, or that you struggle to hold a conversation with because there's no real spark or common ground OP?

Well it's no different here really - you can't expect to strike a rapport with everyone and if their way of communicating doesn't match yours or conversation doesn't flow then it's just a sign you're not compatible
