Midsummer Solstice

Whitley Bay

Its midsummer! It's the time of year where the earth is tilted towards the sun, in the northern hemisphere we are at the point of optimum daylight, sun fire, longest light and highest energy. It's a global moment, in the south they have their shortest day.

Its a time of abundance. The seeds we planted are now in full bloom and the leaves are fully open soaking in the light.

It's a good time to reflect on the darker introspective days of winter and acknowledge what has grown from there and the hurdles we overcame. The weather we endured.

To notice all the things that have come to fruition and celebrate what has manifested in your life, what is in full bloom, your achievements and what is good right now.

And maybe what never quite flowered.

Please share here! Celebrate!

Merry Midsummer, Freya, and to all!

The garden is blossoming, as are friendships new and old. There is much to be grateful for. I'm feeling most blessed.

Great post OP, couldn't of worded it better if I tried. Parts of my gardren/rockery is looking great. Honey suckle on front is trailing with some lovely flowers, Ivy on back wall is doing wonders. Leyandii are certainly needing trimmed and shaped. The only let down is the new shed, still waiting on parts, apparently won't be available till mid July, so not everything came into fruition, but all is well

Its just your winter Solstice, surely?

The same as ours is 21st Dec?

Hope you all had a great solstice. I went to celebrate at Nine Ladies in the Peak District, unfortunately the site had been taken over by the free party crowd which spoilt the atmosphere somewhat. I'm hoping for a much more respectful crowd next year.
