Ok so I've not spotted a post about the return of English football so thought I'd do the honours. Whilst I appreciate some of you don't give a shit for others like me the loss of live footy, Rugby League, Golf, Cricket etc has been a massive loss during COVID.
So a few observations after yesterday's return....
1) David Luiz is still no better than your average Sunday League centre half.
2) City did a great job of replicating their home atmosphere with the "piped" fan noise. They managed to hit about 20 decibels.
3) Congratulations to Barrow on re-entering the Football League after 50 years away. Having experienced promotion last season with my team it's unbelievable and I'm already looking forward to another weekend in the lakes for the away trip next season.

"Come on Cobblers in tonight's play offs "
Saw us play them twice this season. Remember them beating us at their place but don't remember them being that good (I thought we were dire). Anyone who Akinfenwa has played for tho gets my vote. |

Plus the DJ guy outside was a top fella and played loads of Manchester Music and the welcome was very warm from club officials.
Weirdly, didn't make any of the other away trips to the playoff rivals (was in Perth for Colchester and Exeter & Cheltenham both cancelled due to COVID)! |
