it is truly epic in scale like, people u hated in series/book 1 such as the hound, jamie lannister and tyrion seem more likeable almost, its similar to ther way the sopranos developed their characters overtime, such as bobby bacala who didnt really come in to his own till series 5

Addicted to Game of Thrones and i dont want to read the books and spoil the TV series.

I love the "Dragon Lady" as well Calisi - the soft outer shell with a fire burning inside her.

Love the TV series but the books are far better! The TV series is only a taster of the scale of the different plot lines in the books. The subtle reintroduction of magic and prophecies towards the end of book two into a world that has mostly forgotten it is very well done.

I do think there were certain bits left out of the TV series that didn't need to be as they had pretty much the same outcome anyway but all in all its very enjoyable

I've always loved the Dungeons & Dragons genre of books. Magicians. elves, dwarves and ogres. 'Thrones' kinds of sits in between D&D and medieval Merlin/King Arthur type storytelling.

I think what sets it apart from other medieval fantasy is the lack of pure good and bad, and also all the politics.

I read the books before the tv series was made, well actually that is a lie as the latest book was not released untill series one had aired, and loved them.

I really enjoy the tv series too, but am not sure how they will keep going as the auther of the books takes his time in writing, by the time he gets the next book out, i predict they will have shown all the series till that point twice over!

i still have my trusty hard backs, but may donload them onto my kindle and reread them all when i am on my holls.

My sis is an avid fan of anything with dragons and magii in it. She got zillions of books on the subject. I read the Dragonlance books some years ago and couldn't put them down.
