of the update...
Don't let the thread title sway you too much.
I would like opinions on the value of the update section of fab.
Pre-Covid and Covid period opinions please.
Your opinions may help me to restrain myself from blocking people.
Because I block others on consistent update value alone.

Oh bloody hell Boss im a bugger for updates. I use them for happy moments and sad and for venting. I try to keep them positive but sadly they correspond with my moods which go up snd down like a yoyo. I wish there was an option on fab to stay friends but unfollow as some of my friends updates get on my nerves too lol |

No your cool, you have upswings, middle swings and down swings just like anyone else. It's the consistent samey samey whingers, arrogant or showy offs that are not my cup of tea.  |

But I do think like other sights you can be friends but unfollow, Id hate upsetting anyone but sometimes I hate reading updates from friends as I see the same photos and cringy worthy updates. |

I've blocked a few because of their updates. People who constantly put up rant filled ones or naming and shaming ones go on my block list. There's definitely been more of both since lockdown. |

Some updates CAN be unsettling to read...so I don't want them on my page. That doesn't mean I hunt them down but occasionally remove them like unwanted guests!

Weve blocked people for a number of reasons...have blocked a few from their updates as they are definitely not the sort of people interested in. Be it status updates or photos they've uploaded.. |

To answer the question I haven't blocked any friends because of an update, theres are usually good. But I have when someone has sent a first message and their update is something aggressive, wingey or explicit. It gives me an idea of their personality and character....aggressive, whingey and disrespectful. Which I dont really want. |
