I have a blockage in my pipe!

Good evening good people of Fab, I wondered if somebody might be able to advise me as as I haven't managed to find a plumber who has any availability.

My kitchen sink waste is blocked.

I've taken the u-bend off and emptied it, I've put it back flushed it with sink unblocker which I left overnight followed by boiling water, used a small sink snake (as that was all I had available) and also a plunger but it is still blocked.

I presume the blockage must be between the pipe after the u-bend and the soil stack as all the other water in the house is running fine.

If someone could possibly advise me on anything else I can try that would be great as it could be quite a few days before I can find a local plumber with availability. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Shangri-la

Can't believe no one has come to assist you with your pipe issue! There must be a plumber on here surely?

You've done all the things I'd have done, not sure what else to suggest.

I have had lots of private messages regarding it, but so far unfortunately no ideas I haven't tried already.

What's the distance between your sink and the soil stack, are there any bends..90° or 45°

If it's a straight Pipe to the stack, try a metal coat hanger that's straightened out, and poke it down the pipe after removing the bend. If that's no good in length try Screwfix drain unblocker.

Hope this helps!

Ewo! Ok, So you have two options;

Option 1; The ubend (sink trap), take that off again... Water will piss out. The end which goes to the wall, you need to poke something long down it. A good thing to poke down is cable.

Option 2; A plunger. A plunger is good because it works on the whole pipe. Get a good deal, them force it back and too for about 2 mins.. it should unjam the blockage..

thank you everybody I have tried all the suggestions, I will try and get hold of a more substantial snake, I will remove the u-bend again and try to unlock it like that. I have also had some suggestions of trying to get my power wash down there, but as there is a corner straight after their you bend I don't think I will be able to get it down there.(I will see if I can take the corner bend off, but it won't really give me any room to put a power wash down there as there is a corner unit in the way, plus I'm very worried about lots of water flooding back from the powerwash, so I might just start off with a stronger sink snake.)
