Do other Men block women?
Jump to: Newest in thread
I was chatting with a woman a few days ago about the size of her blocklist. She was surprised when I told her how big my block list was. It seems that men generally don't use the block button?
For me, it's big because I use it as a filtering tool. If I send a message, the message is usually thought out. If it gets deleted without a reply, I'll usually block that woman.
It's not rude, it's just that there's no point in me viewing her profile in the future and potentially messaging her again if I've already been there in the past. I guess it just saves time.
Do you other guys do this or is it just me? |

I think this is a great idea and I wish more guys would use it. I get messages of guys repeatedly even after a no thanks or no reply which just gets annoying in the end. |

Sounds like you need to get active with the block button too.... I think it's useful both ways |

Yes, I have blocked lots in my local area as they just aren't what I'm looking for, or if I have read their profile and I'm not what they want, such as rugby player or over 6ft, BBC or bareback only. |

Yeah my block list is huge. It’s mainly people who won’t meet bi guys, people who are into 420 or other stuff or anyone that I’ve messaged and they have either said no thanks or deleted the message. The last one is to avoid sending people messages again if they aren’t interested in me. |

Generally not enough options available locally to make it worth blocking any. That said, there have been just a few I was happy to make exceptions for... |

I have a very big block list.
That's partly because I like TS and this website does not distinguish between CD, etc. So I do block some because I am just not interested.
I block women too; if I message and they dont respond then I may try one more time a while later - but I may in the end block if they're not interested because it saves hassle on both sides.
I remember some female moaning in her update about a guy blocking her after he messaged and she said no - why though, would you rather he nag you? |

That last paragraph is why I block anyone who has shown they aren’t interested. |

Some people also temporarily hide their profiles so doesn't always mean you're blocked anyway. |

I think some just want to be chased after. That's fine if you're desperate and have time on your hands, but not all of us are desperate and not all of us have the time to be! Ha! |

I've been blocked by quite a few men after being called a fucking cocktease or false.
How they deduce this from one message where I've said thanks for the message but I'm not interested is impressive. They should be working for MI5. |

I probably use the Block link more than anything else, but for good reasons!
If I get views from people, including females, I accept what they've done, but if I don't match for whatever reason, I'll block them.
Equally, if I've messaged someone after viewing their profile & considered we match, but it doesn't work out, I'll block as well!
In each, I'll put a private note in, but overall, it saves me having to recall who was who and why, plus not looking a total prat in secondary messaging errors.

I can get the idea behind this but I had a few men I've messaged who told me they had messaged me before and I didn't realise. Back when I had an open inbox it used to get flooded with dick picks and I often missed decent messages unfortunately. That's why I started putting up all the filters. |

I've always used the block list for lot's of different reasons. It could be that a couple has age filters well below my age, i block them. I block any couples that can't travel and can't accommodate (wtf is that about ?) I also block couples with a long essay on their profile of what THEY won't accept. As you can guess, my block list is quite long |

Ive used it many times. For the simple fact that yes we men get stalked on here too. Ive had it happen a number of times. Its so easy to create a profile on here. Some people can’t see that what they’re doing are wrong.
Ive only came back last week and my block list is mighty... |

Yeah, I only block if they've read my messages, not if it's unread and they've most likely just not seen my message amongst the many. |

I’ve had men tell me they’ll block me a few times - not sure if it’s just them being polite so I don’t feel they’re just blocking me for no reason or if it’s a threat so I’ll beg them not to?!? Either way I’m happy to be blocked if it means I receive less dick pics that I haven’t asked for |

Yeah! I've had it too... "Why have you blocked me?", Because I took time to message you and you deleted it without a reply - I assumed you weren't interested, and I don't like being ignored. Loooool, I don't go that far. I block if they delete without a reply, if their profile has anything to do with 'BBC' or has the word 'daddy' in it, or if their profile text is demanding. Just generally if I get the impression that messaging would just be a waste of time. |

Honestly most of them aren't even worth reading so I do feel bad when I miss a decent message in a mass delete. That's why I put up all my filters now and message people myself. |

I use it quite a lot.
If there's a profile and I'm explicitly not what they're looking for, then I'll block so I don't waste my time reading that profile.
I block some people because we have very opposite view and I don't think we'd get on.

I block profiles readily. Usually local people either not what I’m interested in, or I don’t match their preferences, so it cuts down the updates and I can better concentrate on people I’m more likely to match with. I also block people I don’t share common ground with in the forums...... |

Yes I've got a very healthy block list.
I use it as a way of filtering inane, illegal and whiny updates.
I also use it to avoid those with a bipolar approach to the forums. The ones who have so many opposing opinions you'd almost think they were 11 different people.
It's also a good way of avoiding ignorant and abusive people regardless of what sex they are. |

Yes, occasionally. Sometimes to save me messaging someone who's not interested or who I'm not interested in (my memory is awful and I do forget), sometimes because I don't feel comfortable with certain people looking at my junk if they're a bit cringe or gossipy group chatter types, and also I'll block if I notice that they've blocked me, to save any games or drama. I get blocked too, it doesn't bother me at all, it's just a tool to limit unwanted attention, right? Nothing personal, from this side anyway |

Sure. I block cheaters, time wasters, people I don't click with, people I have no interest in meeting (though this is usually more for he local area). It's just another filter |

"If I send a message, the message is usually thought out. If it gets deleted without a reply, I'll usually block that woman."
That's my primary use of the block button! I always send a well thought out and where possible tailored message and include a recent face photo. If it gets read and deleted without a reply, then I block, to prevent me contacting them in the future.
Other uses of the block button include profiles expressing enthusiasm for 420 and other substances, and demands for BBC (I quite like channel 4 and Netflix personally) or other attributes which don't apply to me.
Finally, and thankfully used infrequently, is the block button for people who have been a total arse to me directly, to my friends, or post utter shite in the forums. |

"Loads of men have blocked me. Usually after sending abuse or not getting a response. I don't dwell on it
What they send you abuse you mean ? And then block you because you didn't reply? Wow if that's true that's some tragic behaviour.. don't think I care enough to be going round blocking people haha just here for good times
They send abuse then block you so that you cant reply, it makes me laugh how apparent grown ups can behave."
I don't ever reply to abuse anyway. Just block back and report. I've had some delightful messages about my appearance or have been called all the names under the sun for reading and deleting messages. The little charmers |

I use this function more than any other on the site, a great filter. Like previously mentioned, it saves me going over old ground. I also block people after reading their profile if I can see that we are not aligned in interests or values and standards. I’m nearly up to triple figures in blocks!! It really does help you find like minded people. |

I've been blocked for not fawning over certain female profiles which is perfectly fine.
However at least two of those profiles have unblocked me long enough to fab one of my pics and then blocked me again so work that one out! |

"I was chatting with a woman a few days ago about the size of her blocklist.
Do you other guys do this or is it just me?"
This is how I deal with those that are not interested in my messages. |

Hell, hardly get any messages in the first place so never had the opportunity to have to lock someone. I have had to on chat after repeatedly being nice and pleasant when turning down a wank fest with males that won't take a hint, usually one's that are supposed to be a couple but always on their own. |

I blocked a local couple a few years back. We'd been chatting for ages, they arranged for me to come round, I was all prepared and nervous, ordered a cab, checked everything was ok on the way there........and they'd blocked me.
So they are now on my block list. |

Yes OP I do this as well. Saves you accidentally messaging them again in future |

My block list is fairly large at the moment. I do it when I find someone has no banter. A couple of messages in and I can tell there’s no stimulation for my mind. I politely decline them and block because there’s no point bumping into them again in the future. Others are there because they are just not my type and come up in the local feed otherwise. It’s a useful tool. |

I just block if someone messages me and I’m not interested. Guys will just keep messaging otherwise.
On the mf couple account which he mostly looks, bless his little high functioning autism brain. He keeps I organised. As above, blocked. If they’re a twat. If someone deletes our message. If they read but don’t reply or delete message, after three attempts of swum government hello and wink to you and ending with a friend request to try and get noticed. He also blocks people whilst browsing that he’s we’re attracted to for whatever reason, including that really sensitive subject on here.
Oh, he did also try and experiment for me on this account t. I set my profile status to “breed me” and then proceed to block all 200+ Of them. You tonifallt I do actually live just jo with vast majority of uou guys on here or Anyone who are arts. Message with oi oi
