I discovered the hammerhead bat today on my random search through the animal world. If anything ever came from another world that would be it.... look it up, with a wing span of 3ft and the Male with an unusually large head as it has to sing for sex |

The millennium falcon prop in the original trilogy of star wars actually took off. It wieghed 20 odd tonnes and was 60 odd ft in diameter but was built as a hovercraft. So it technically actually flew....ish
