"Wondering if it's a prickly hedgehog. Yes I'm bored so time for random inane posts.
Got any food for it if it's a hedgehog "
Months back we took on a rescue hoggie that wasn't well enough to hibernate thru the winter. We got it a special house and food station. But it did a runner. I suspect it's back as I have teeny foot prints on my recently painted patio slabs. So cute ![](/icons/s/2/heart.gif) |

"Oh yay! They’re my favourite! Do you have any cat food and water for him? "
Yes fish free cat bix and he has a special food and water station that stops the visiting cats pinching his grub x
He has the sweetest house he decided he didn't want to use. My brother made it and put a teeny little framed pic of sonic in the bedroom area ![](/icons/s/lol.gif) |

"Leave a pile of logs / wood in a quiet corner. It will move its entire family in....
"
Only a youngster but that's the hope. There's a big sycamore in the wild area of garden. Would love to see baby hoggies one night ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

if you've got a hedgehog coming to visit and you want to feed him, the best things for them are dried mealworm and raw turkey mince.
Cat food is OK at a push but doesn't work that well with their digestive system.
Whatever you do, do not give them milk as this gives them dargah quite badly and dehydrates them.
Plenty of water in a few places helps especially when it's warm and as said previously, a feeding station that stops the local cats from taking their food and somewhere to sleep over or hide for protection is a brilliant thing if you can sort something out.
There is loads of info on Google from various hedhog rescue places to look at if you want to encourage them to drop by regularly too ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Was sat out one night in summer . Heard rustling near shed , had a look and hedgehogs were there .
Next day i saw what i thought was a hairbrush in my pond . Scooped it out . It was one of them .
So i would rather they not come to our garden now |
