Its middle of the night, you've just got into bed after a long hard day, you suddenly realise you cant rem_mber if you locked the door to not

I groan, get out of bed and go check.
Then find I did lock it after all.
Clamber back into bed and, because I got up again, find I now can't sleep despite it being the middle of the night and my being knackered

Can't be bothered going to check, the dog will let me know if anyone comes in....actually, he'd let the whole street know, and I don't think many burglars would stick around to see what kind of beast was making all the racket |

I've got three layers of security between my flat and the street. I'm pretty confident nobody will be breaking in.
I have piss all worth stealing, and right now if someone was breaking in to ravish me I'd probably buzz them through the security doors! |

I will go down and check. I do this every night! It's horrible. I will do the same with gas and switches too and obsess over them even if I know they are off.  |

Our family dog was bloody useless as a guard dog - he'd have looked up, or maybe just raised an eyebrow, told whoever it was to keep the noise down and gone back to sleep  |

Think "bugger it im in bed now" often get out of my car and leave the key in all night anyone could get in it push button and away , im just so forgetfull although it is a company car |

Think "bugger it im in bed now" often get out of my car and leave the key in all night anyone could get in it push button and away , im just so forgetfull although it is a company car "
35 odd years ago my dad's oppo, who worked the night shift, bought a Cortina and hated it. He used to leave it under streetlights with the keys in the ignition hoping someone would take it but they never did |
