An incredible band who never achieved their full potential. So many people think of them as bubblegum pop.
They were a great Glam Rock band but some of their later, heavier stuff was fantastic.
Steve was seen as the clowning around one when in fact he was the founder member and driving force behind them.
RIP to a talented musician X |

Steve Priest was a superb bass player, singer, writer and visually good for the band. They really should have been huge. I believe they had to cancel a major support slot with The Who as Brian Connolly suffered a beating by thugs. Also his alcohol problems caused much conflict in the band just as they were making inroads into the States. A great shame but a great band all the same. |

Sadly bit of a forgotten glam rock icon and hero
Great voice and a seriously under rated bass player
Will be blasting out some Sweet on the record player today |

I vaguely remember him getting beaten up. He used to come in the Angel pub in Staines - hope it wasn’t there ? |

Staines High Street. They kicked Brian in the throat causing irreparable damage. He never fully recovered from the attack. Our friend was Brian’s roadie till the end of his life. |
