want to replace the mattress on our bed as the existing one is now getting too uncomfortable for a good night sleep - bed but as we're renting dont want to bin the old one (in case we were to move in say a year or 2 then would have to leave our new one) ...
so wondered if anyone had ever tried placing 2 mattresses on top of each other on a bed??
not worried how it looks, and guessing the added height would be better for the doggy position but genuinely wonder whether the idea is sound in terms of comfort??

Avoid using two spring loaded mattresses together as the top mattress will slip off with normal sleep movement (let alone shagging!). We have experience
A good memory foam mattress on top of your old one should see that you have no trouble at all  |
