Sex in your house is illegal..
Jump to: Newest in thread
According to The Mirror today
“The government is introducing new measures that will mean 'gathering' with one or more people from outside your household, in a private space such as a house or flat, will be against the law in England.
Sex in your house with someone from outside of your household is set to become illegal today.
Up until now the person visiting a house for sex would have been the one in breach of the measures.
But now both people would technically be able to be prosecuted under the law, with Amendment Regulations being introduced in Parliament on Monday”

My opinion is firstly its just another way of eroding civil liberties while we are all looking the other way at the big bad Covid monster.
But secondly how will they enforce this? I'd rather the police force I pay for with my taxes was doing the day job and catching actual criminals than wasting time investigating if Fred is fucking Mary.

I wouldn't trust The Mirror to give me unsensationalised facts. I'd check my information against more boring sources before accepting it.
One thing I can see that's wrong with what's been presented here is that it's not the sex that makes a visit illegal - it is the visit itself. It would be equally illegal to do somebody's laundry, washing up or vacuuming, but that's more dull than saying the government is making sex illegal. |

So.
The law was.
Can't have anyone come to your house. If you did.
The person visiting you gets in trouble.
Now. If you do. You both get in trouble.
They haven't made sex illegal. They have just made both parties responsible if you break the law. |

"Shame for all those husbands cheating on their wives!
And for all those wives cheating on their husbands!"
Now they're just being greedy. What about us single people who live on our own shielding?? |
