On the back of two separate Fab conversations, I wanted to ask how you are. Properly, how are you?
I have to confess to have been somewhat low recently, and so tend to become rather anti-social. I'm sure it will pass at some point
Social distancing, shielding and isolation are very..isolating. So to anyone feeling a bit rubbish and isolated, you are not alone. My hugs are yours.
P.S I'd love a hug, too x |

What a lovely sentiment OP. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling a bit meh, trust that the dark days will pass just as the darkest night breaks with the dawn.
Big (albeit virtual) hugs coming your way. xx |

Hugs
I’m actually good - hurrah! Ever since writing my mega attention seeking forum post, I’ve only had one *really* low day. And I haven’t lost my cool in about four days now, no tears, rage, or feeling low. |

Hey Lisa.
It's great to read you.
I'm sorry to hear that you have been down. We send you massive hugs and lots of love.
I'm an emotional wreck but D and the kids are the best at lifting me and some lovely people on here have too.
The sun also helps me massively.
Hoping you feel better soon.

I hope you feel better, Lisa.
I'm ok. A bit over three weeks since I started feeling ill with Covid. It's a tough illness and I'm not out of the woods yet, but breathing is a little easier every day and the plunges into fatigue are a little less frequent than they were.
I'm at peace with where I am at the moment, even though I apparently have a long way to go. Things to look forward to. Lots of support. It's frustrating but it's no longer distressing. I'll ride it out and be ok. |

Loads of hugs to you and extra hugs for making this thread.
Generally I'm antisocial anyway lockdown or not due to social anxiety.
But I'm working 6 nights a week so no time to worry about much else except looking after my mother who has health issues.
So fun times |

I too have been feeling lonely, lockdown hasn't been easy. It's made me question a lot of things, still with no answers but I'm working on it.

Lisa I have made myself strong. I have dealt with loosing my job, through which I validated myself. I have learned to teach little people. I have kept a house clean and safe and happy.
Today. I have hit a wall. It seems to me that nothing I do is good enough. There’s so much riding on my amateurish efforts. I miss my Dad. I worry that the children aren’t academically learning and aren’t socially growing.
I no longer recognise myself. |

She does but she wishes she could do more but she no longer can.
Better to keep busy working than sitting around with nothing to so.

Oh Sam, I'm so very sorry.
Do you feel under pressure to tesch your children? I'm sure that the schools just want happy & safe children. You are their mum, not their teacher. Be kind to yourself.
As for your Dad, I'm so sorry he's not with you.
My hugs are yours xx |

I'm doing surprisingly ok right now. I've started the long process of lowering my medication dose, I'm doing more running, and I've been out on my bike today. I feel quite peaceful. Although I had to go into town earlier and it was ridiculously busy, which set me on edge a bit.
I'm sure once I get my kids back on Monday and we get back into home schooling it'll be a complete shit show again, but for now in this moment I'm doing ok. |

I've had a pretty crappy week to say the least. When you realise the extent someone has lied to you, it makes you further question everything in your life. That's on top of everything else that was wearing me down.
However, today I ran away with my youngest son for the day. We visited somewhere he wanted to see, had some beach time and made the most of the sunshine. It really made a huge difference to just get away.
I hope things improve for you and that you are being supported.
Sending positive thoughts and hugs your way x |

Huge virtual hugs for everyone.
I'm not as isolated as some, as I'm still working, but I really miss my parents I've not seen them for real since mid Feb. They are 120 miles away with mum being very high risk, and here in Wales we aren't allowed to travel to see people over 5 miles away, my nearest friend is 40 miles away over the border in England.
I'm just missing face to face chat with friends (not the same with customers/neighbours), hugs and kisses. |

It's people we miss the most. Not material things (except loo roll), and that's why this has been so hard.
