I do too much deep thinking most of my day so i come on here for abit of fun where my brain doesn't need to think too much but i manage to laugh in the process |

I prefer interesting threads OP but I don't come on often enough and if they've got no recent comments they fall off the page and I don't see them.

It's hard to respond to this without being a captain obvious, but I've notice a lot depends on what time of day you post? Different personalities seem to be more prevalent at cert6times of day?
I guess people use the forums as they see fit, but whilst truly unique thread titles are like rocking horse poo,a good few responses generates some great stuff, as long as the negative brigade dont kill it? |

I think people are increasingly using the fora as an escape so don't necessarily want to engage with too taxing threads. I also think people have different ideas about what a though provoking thread is; some people might find a discussion on favourite type of cake quite stimulating.
Posters have changed as well and the lockdown and lack of social interaction means more people are flirty and not getting a good dicking so even flirtier. |

I think there's space for everything from the light and fluffy to the more serious and thought provoking and I enjoy both but if pushed prefer something that exercises the brain.
And those latter type do seem to be a rarity these days - the trouble is more often than not they tend to be controversial and get heated as people can't accept that someone may have a differing opinion from their own and that it is perfectly acceptable to do so, without seeing it as an attack or resorting to snide digs. |

The introduction of the politics thread dumbed down the forum and the politics forum and brexit killed a lot of the more substantial current affairs type threads on here.
That said the success of a thread on here is often dictated by who starts it and/or who responds in the first few replies |
