The thing with Mt Rushmore that amazes me is that the sculptures are only some 65 foot tall. Not a lot for such a world renowned site.

And apparently, a native american is continuing his fathers work on a nearby mountain and carving a sculpture of Sitting Bull (or similar)

Nestled in the heart of Gloucestershire is a motorway like no other. It is nine lanes wide, comes complete with hard shoulders, signage and gantries, and even has a proper number. However, you cannot access it, you cannot drive on it, and you cannot see it from any other roads.

This motorway is the M96. It is as important as many other motorways, but it has a completely different purpose. It is a dummy motorway, constructed as part of the Fire Service College's facilities. The FSC provides training facilities for fire-fighters from across the UK and further afield. There are many specialist scenarios, from oil rigs and ships to trains and aeroplanes.

Not a motorway.

A motorway has to be a road. The M96 is not a road S.188 of the Road Traffic ACt 1988 probably applies, as would the judgement in Harrison v. Hill from the 1930s.

Sorry to be a pedant and all that....

Close but no cigar.

Has Clapton done a version of Standing by the Crossroads? Clapton's Crossroads was a version of Crossroads Blues, with bits of another song thrown in (Riverside Blues, I think...) Both Elmore and Robert J are name checked in Standing At The Crossorads Again by Micky Jupp, which the Feelgoods and Dave Edmunds used to cover....

Is there space to name check John LEe Hooker's Burning Hell, which is the Crossroads song that most explicitly talks about the deal with the devil?
