Plus one to OHMSS. Lazenby’s Bond was brilliant and the screenplay, script and score — best by far.
Wait for all the Connery fan club to shout us down now ... |

"Mine is dimonds are forever...I don’t know why it’s just my favourite you are allowed to love it "
I can dig that. Great film. Would’ve been better with Lazenby though |

There and to the left a bit |
Top 5:
1. You Only Live Twice
2. Goldfinger
3. OHMSS
4. Live & Let Die
5. Skyfall
Spy Who Loved Me gets a mention too but misses out on the top 5 as it's basically You Only Live Twice set in the sea instead of space |

Although Connery will always be my favourite Bond you'll get no argument from me about Lazenby - thought he was an excellent Bond and got a very rough deal |

Jet pack was cool but didn't have the same panache as Nelly |

The red Esprit (briefly in FYEO?) was the best car in possibly the worst film, equal last place with VTAK maybe |

"Well, as much as Connery is the best Bond, my favourite is Live And Let Die!
McCartney theme song is just amazing too. "
My first ever Bond film and possibly Moore's finest (well he only made three worth watching in my opinion anyway) |

I remember it but don't remember anything special about it - best car would have to be the DB6 with the submarine Esprit running it close.
FYEO or Octopussy have to be the worst Bonds though - I'm not a fan of VTAK but it wasn't awful like either of those were |

Every one gets one film where it all comes together , peak bond for that film.
Connery , most say goldfinger, I think thunderball really had it dialled in , the swagger etc
Lazenby only got his 1 but it's a beauty , story, score, love interest , villain ( well, telly was ok)
Moore's ,...hmmm, his films were so derivative of the time is a bit tricky , live n let die is a good start , really diving in headfirst to a good story. For your eyes only is often overlooked. Just a good old fashioned spy plot.
Dalton , living daylights really, licence to kill coulda been so much more but you feel it got compromised .
Brosnan , tomorrow never dies . Simple as
Craig, ... they all bleed into each other a bit , which is good , but to pick one, for me , quantum of solace .

OHMSS just has it over Casino Royale; Daniel Craig version (although I love the Niven/Sellars film).
Just to add to the mix: I think Oliver Reed should have replaced Connery in the mid 60’s and then Lewis Collins should have been given Bond in the late 70’s. Any other suggestions for people who would have been great Bonds (I thin Idris would be great as well) |

Sorry to say, but I think OHMSS is one of the most overrated of the series (including Goldfinger) Nothing really happens throughout the entire film, apart from the final act. It's just George Lazenby sleeping around with all the young women in the institute, and we're supposed to believe he's fallen in love with Tracy?! Dianna Rigg is brilliant as Tracy by the way. But she's criminally underused. As is the 69 Aston DBS. George Lazenby shouldn't have passed the screen Tests. And I despise the scene where he breaks the 4th Wall
Connery in OHMSS would have been marvelous. Him and Diana Rigg, a force to be reckoned with. But unfortunately we got him back in potentially the Worst Bond film of the Classic Era.
So my vote is going to have to be From Russia With Love |
