Some people are better as friends than partners.
You can be in a bad relationship with a good person. Doesn't mean you don't like each other, but does mean you don't work as a couple

This was what happened to me, should never of made the leap from best friends to lovers, luckily we still get on, on a strict friends only basis though |

I think them being an ex forever changes what the friendship could have been but yeah, I like to hope so even if the break up takes time to get over so you can be friends again.
Just keep it as friends only though and dont fuck just for old times sakes. |

Some of my ex’s are friends, one Is now a very close friend but just not good as a couple, other ex’s tho I wouldn’t think twice about walking straight past drinking a bottle of water whilst they are on fire,  |

I don’t want to be friends with my ex husband but I will talk to him if we meet, I am still friends with an ex swing partner, we didn’t break under terrible circumstances, I just felt it was time to move on. |

Tell them to mind their own bloody business. It's up to you who you're friends with, not them. Or query all of their circle of friends
I'm still friends, to a greater or lesser extent, with some of my ex girlfriends, but by no means all of them. Probably an indicator of how well we liked each other in the first place and how serious the relationship was |

Yep....sometimes people just work better as friends. An ex of mine, albeit from a short relationship, was a much better fit with me as a friend than a girlfriend.
Bumped into her one night having not seen her for a long time; we spent most of the evening having a great chat kept in touch for years after. |
