What's your thoughts on thanking the NHS with possible salmonella poisoning? We have been isolating , told the lack of vitamin d weakens our immune systems. I'm baffled.

Salmonella can cause a serious and sometimes fatal infection in anyone with a weakened immune system, in young children and in frail or elderly people. Healthy people infected with salmonella often experience fever, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain within 12 to 72 hours after eating contaminated product.

I don't know why I was so shocked , the last drinking challenge was down a pint. I actually saw people having a shit in the glass first before drinking it. Now that's gross

I've never heard of this challenge but most eggs have red lion marking which means hens have been vaccinated against salmonella

I get that a bit of fun and bringing people together is a good thing. Just with the current state of affairs and covid 19 hanging over our heads, heath has become a priority.

Been drinking whisky sours with raw egg whites and sugar for years , it’s fine.

No excuse for low vitD , you need to literally step outside and look towards the sun each day for 30 seconds with closed eyes.

I've never had any issue with raw egg but I have guts of steel.

There was updates on covid 19 that people with darker skin are not getting enough vitamin d in Britain.
