why is it that they are only covered in it and not shot by it?
"You've just been shot"!
Why such an energetic starting and a weaker end expression?
Is this dictionary shyness?
Or a densensitising to what is actually a violent event?
PS I am a counsellor.

I suppose a lot will get a shot to the face, once we officially allowed to meet F2F!
But sometimes it's a dollop really- those one big drop and then small smudges.
Or a spritzing- light spray of DNA around the face/body.

"I never understood why its called a facial.
It's not like any facial I've ever had! " Yes, it may be associated with the facemask worn by some during a beauty treatment....but cucumbers laid on the eyes too? Though they may be in some cases easy on the eye. |

Suppose the cucumber could act as PPE to avoid eye sting or injury |

Hello Huey,
Intelligent and important question which deserves scientific and reasonable input.
My dear boy. The use of language e.g. 'he shot it at her' , 'it covered her' is the correct usage.
Let me illustrate it thus. A man with bursting balls SHOOTS his load at woman ( obviously 6 feet away, safety n all that ) and he hits the target.
Now...... it jizzes out at high velocity like elephant diarrhea exiting a mouses arse. It hits dizzy heights and extraordinary distances and in doing so spreads sufficiently to require a description change from SHOT to SPLATTER. Therefore the woman, curtains, carpet , pillow cases ,wardrobe , duvet ceiling are covered in jizz...
Had the shooter been in closer range the target would most certainly have been shot ..... bruises formed , eyes pinked, belly buttons glooped.
Either way ..... the shooter fucks off and the recipient cleans up ..... Sods Law. |

The vagaries of the English language are fascinating. Some things seem to follow common sense, others just seem to stick, perhaps against the odds.
A lot of porn terms get into everyday usage, including moneyshot, for example. Oral sex probably had lower takeup, or taken-down, before the cultural swinging sixties onwards and the arrival of Linda Lovelace a little later. Hedonistic, liberated enclaves, such as Amsterdam, San Francisco etc, helped to shift attitudes and some porn laws relaxation in Europe helped to serve up sexual mores, innuendo and wider relaxation. There grew a network of sex shops in the uk and elsewhere that would have startled the prudish.

"I'd knock a guy clean out if he did that to me "
Are your issues REALLY to do with that rare possibility of being covered in cum? Please look deeper. |

"It's not like any facial I've ever had! "
It always makes me smile when I see beauty salons and spas advertising facials
The same as pubs and restaurants talking about eating out. Would be far better if they said dining out |
