You have a very short bio.

Has it worked for you?

Delightful Bliss

It all depends on what you are looking for, mine will vary depending on what I am trying to achieve at the time.

If they are interested in you they will read it all as they are curious about you

Long bios because you scare off the one you won’t click with anyway and the ones that can’t read.

The bigger the bio the more chance of me not reading it.

I personally have kept my word count down.

Buy I do enjoy a well written bio on others' profiles. Means I can base my message to them around somethihg that struck a chord with me from what I read : )

Of course that! And that they’ve got the time to write lots of words to put out to the people of the internet.

I've edited and re-edited my profile like so many times now, I'm physically and mentally exhausted with it now. I know it's incredibly loong. But it's not like 'Gone with the wind' or 'The 10 commandments'. Anyway knowing me I'll probably delete myself in a few weeks.

You don't need words with your pics. Other than 'bend over'

a quandary, could you change my mind?

Long or short a novel or even a novelette be it a fable, yarn or even a fairy tale. One word or three. Some will read, some will ignore, some run for the hills, but you never know who might read your profile and decide you might be for them.

I find the longer the bio the longer the person been on here and knows what they want and trying to sift out the time wasters , which is cool, but there are some people who just can’t be arsed and get straight to point and it’s fun messaging finding out there story

I have a longer bio and I think it's a great filter tool. If someone can't be bothered to spend 5 minutes reading about me and what I'm looking for then they aren't the kind of person I'd want to meet anyway. =)

And personally I prefer longer bios from others, it lets me know more about the person which gives plenty to talk about, and it lets me know if we're more likely to be compatible as opposed to just 1 or 2 sentences.

It’s worth giving people food for thought especially if you want them to approach you?

Same. Totally agree. Our bio isn't too long but hopefully succinct and gets the right message across, plus I think our pics help attract the right people.

Yep. You need to give a sense of yourselves both in your profile and your pics so you can filter those that find something about you attractive from the mass emailers in your email. Unless of course you aren't that picky either

Just don't rant. And don't write READ ALL THE PROFILE or similar. Nothing says "stuck up my own arse" more effectively than that.
