So I've just watched the film Parasite and, although it's good, I can't believe the great reviews and the Oscars it got. To me it's not a classic and isn't something I'd ever wish to watch again. I think films in general have dropped off in quality of late and TV is where has taken over. I think this has something to do with cinema's reluctance for anything rated 12+ as it reduces the amount of people able to watch the movie. The downside of this though is that we're inundated with superhero and animated movies and no one is tackling adult issues apart from the TV shows. A case in point is that Scorcese had to go to Netflix to gain funding for The Irishman as no ordinary studio would touch it. What do you guys think? Is TV beating films? Are cinemas killing off adult (not porn) movies?

I know, what's the point of a 15 rated horror movie?
