Do you keep your crockery (plates, bowls, cups, mugs) in cupboards above or below the worktops?

Should probs be lower cause of the weight, but we have loads more above cupboard than lower ones

Below the worktop I have washing mac_ine, dishwasher, oven, recycling area and cupboard below the sink. That leaves one cupboard and a set of drawers. Hence mine gets stored above as I don’t have the space below.

My plates and bowls are below. My above counter cupboards aren't deep enough for plates. My cups and mugs are in an above counter cupboard though. I can't wait to get a bigget kitchen in our next place. Ours is tiny.

Overseas kitchens have had open bottoms to higher units, allowing more air circulation. Potentially plates etc airing above draining boards. I've done both
