Surely all skin is capable of burning regardless of colour or so I would of thought

Had a black friend back in school that got burnt one summer and she looked almost purple where it burnt

and thats why the country is dissapearing up its own arse.

people getting insulted on other peoples behalf, when the initial subject holder really doesnt bloody care.

and i would hope no one got burned and took care of their skin in the hot weather.

thankfully it seems to have cooled a little now so a bit more bareable.

My three cousins are West Indian and their colour faded when they visited me in Scotland..... mind it was snowing and they had just flown in from Trinidad.

My ex husband is black....I have 3 mixed race children.

He always said the onlu peple that get arsy about political corectness are white people.

I am oriental, and can get a sun tan quite easily.

I can still get burnt if I sit under a hot sun with no sun protection after 4h+ though.

Well I'm half and I occasionally burn, but only if I'm out all day exposed at a festival or something. Mostly I just tan.

I have never been sun burn no idea what it feels like apart from people saying it hurts.

Luckily I go a natural golden brown in the sun, strange as my family get very dark.

Mine does when we go to Cap d'Agde.. Unfortunately, it doesn't increase in size to match the colour!

One of my best mates, Sanjay (now passed on..

) used to make a point of taking his watch off to show just how brown he became.. I saw his back after he had been swimming and laid in the sun and it was an angry red/brown colour.. An it fookin hurt, so he said!

Whenever film crews film in India, Bangladesh etc it is noticeable how much darker the local populace are compared to those living over here. I'm sure those born here of Asian descent burn as easily as we palefaces do if they're not used to intense heat. Never seen a bright pink one though.
